After over 30 years in storage The Mabs Collection is more or less unpacked.
So far things surplus to the collection are being sold off.
The collection is also for sale as a whole or could be divided into eras, men's, women’s, children’s, accessories, hats, shoes or a mixture of these.
Most of the Spring, Autumn and Winter wear are accessible. The rest will be available when more winter things sell making room to view everything.
Also about 1500 pairs of shoes and boots from the Victorian era to the 1980's.
Over 4 tons have gone so far – mostly 1970’s and 1980’s. Almost 10 tons are still here.
Most of the clothes were selected to go into storage and so are in excellent condition. They have not been picked through so there is an original range of sizes.
A few damaged and stained clothes are available separately.
There are still some 1980's dresses, tops and shoes.
I am sometimes asked if we buy clothes. No, but we will swap for pieces of similar value to add to a core of the collection which will be retained.
